International

Research and teaching at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences is geared towards international standards for the subjects represented. The scientists working at the faculty publish their research findings in international, renowned journals and regularly present their work at international conferences and specialist congresses.

The knowledge discovered here particularly enriches the Master’s degree programmes which can be completed fully in English:

There is also a wide selection of optional English subjects on offer, within the basic German Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Business and Economics.

Doctoral training

In the field of doctoral training, the structured doctoral degree programme “Quantitative Economics” has been in place since 2002. It was designed according to international standards, and its purpose is to enable participants to carry out their own independent scientific work.

Abroad with Erasmus

Students from Kiel who are studying for a degree programme in economics, and who are interested in a semester abroad also have access to a wide range of partnerships with foreign universities as part of the European Union’s Erasmus programme.

You can also find information on the websites of the Erasmus office of the Department of Economics and the Erasmus office of the Institute of Business.

Additionally, semesters students spend abroad upon their own initiative (including those spent outside of Europe), may be recognised within the scope of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes.
